ICEX has promoted the internationalization of strategic sectors in the U.S. through a Business Meeting held in Houston, Texas.

A total of 45 Spanish companies from industries such as energy, aerospace, life sciences, and infrastructure traveled to Houston to strengthen Spain’s presence in this key market.

For WIVI Vision, it was a true pleasure to take part in this remarkable event, being selected to represent our sector and connect with outstanding U.S. and Spanish companies. Special thanks to Juan Carlos Ondategui-Parra, for presenting WIVI Vision to leading health and vision institutions.

We make the leap to the United States!

As Eva García Ramos, CEO and co-founder of WIVI Vision, said: “This agreement represents an important leap in the company’s internationalization plans for the coming years”.

​​WIVI Vision has had a booth in the #UNICEFlab area at DES thanks to being one of the 5 winners of the Unicef Lab Awards last edition. This recognition allows us to be part of an acceleration program driven by UNICEF Spain and ISDI Accelerator.

WIVI Vision offers an innovative solution that helps solve global challenges and improve children’s health through visual analysis.

We aim to improve people’s well-being through scientific and technological knowledge through a real, fun and non-invasive experience and to give visibility to these solvable problems.

The #DES2023 has been a great opportunity to make society aware of a problem that affects a large percentage of the population (both children and adults) and to promote the solution to deal with it. A solution that focuses on carrying out a visual screening of the entire population to detect and solve visual dysfunctions.

We had the opportunity to present our solution in the #health area of 4YFN23 thanks to #Biocat, #ACCIÓ and #AQuAScat, who organized a space for startups that apply technology in the field of health.

It has been a pleasure to share this experience with other excellent and innovative startups in the health sector of the #BioRegion, and we have been another year at #4YFN with the great team of Nixi For Children!

In addition, we had the honor of sharing our innovative solution with Roger Torrent, Minister of the Department of Enterprise and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya, and the entire entourage of the Generalitat.

For WIVI Vision this event has been a great opportunity to continue to raise awareness of our solution in order to allow more and more specialists to assess and train the visual efficiency of the entire population with the latest technology.

WIVI Vision represents the evolution of the traditional method of visual assessment and training with the purpose of improving and promoting people’s quality of life through a real, fun and non-invasive experience.

Adding value to the visual health of customers

By using gamification, artificial intelligence and 3D technology, this system allows to evaluate more than 50 parameters of 5 visual areas and to personalize the trainings to each patient regardless of their age.

According to Teresa Llobet Pollina, CEO of Farmaoptics, “with this new clinical visual measurement tool, we will help our associates to reinforce their professional position and improve considerably the patient’s experience by providing an exhaustive examination in a very short period of time”.

WIVI allows to reduce the assessment period to 12 minutes and the training period to only 3 months in severe impairments instead of the usual 6 to 12 months and with objective clinical measurement of all visual skills at the same time.

La entrada WIVI Vision signs a new agreement with Farmaoptics se publicó primero en WIVI Vision.

The CE Marking serves as a declaration from the manufacturer that their product complies with the essential requirements of the relevant European health, safety and environmental legislation laid out in the different product directives.

Once a product has been awarded the CE Marking, then it is able to move freely within the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and the European Union (EU). In addition, our software is validated as a medical device by the Spanish Ministry of Health.

The WIVI Vision team is proud that our technology has obtained the European Conformity certificate. It’s an important step in the clinical validation of our product and a further step towards the standardization of an objective and innovative method for the assessment and treatment of visual dysfunctions.

This year the company has been awarded the Innovative SME seal, valid until 17 December 2023, granted by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, as set out in Royal Decree 475/2014 of 13 June.

Technology to innovate in eye health

The WIVI system provides a complete vision assessment and personalised visual training to correct visual dysfunctions. It relies on IBM Watson Artificial Intelligence to evaluate more than 50 parameters from 5 different visual areas, providing objective data in real time. In addition, it allows the system to automatically readjust itself according to the patient’s responses.

The user connects through a pair of glasses to unique 3D experiences and only has to immerse himself in the visual challenges to let the system provide the specific assessment and training. In this way, it uses gamification to increase the user’s motivation and attention during visual exercises. A clinical game for vision to improve people’s visual health.

The Innovative SME certification is a recognition that pushes WIVI Vision to continue innovating in order to improve people’s visual health through technology.
